Landry's First Easter

Dear DD,

Today I got to celebrate my first Easter.  I went to church and learned about how much God loves us, and how He sent His one and only Son for us.  It was a fun day at church.  After church, Mommy and Daddy said I had to be in some pictures.  They gave me a basket with some eggs (the eggs had papers in them that said things like, "Mommy gets to give you a big kiss", "Daddy gets to give you a big hug", "Mommy gets to tickle you", etc.).  They also gave me a sand bucket and shovel with some fun things inside.  They told me they are planning to take me to the beach soon.  Have you ever been to Rockport, TX?  That's where they want to take me.

Here I am with my basket and sand bucket.

Mommy and Daddy are trying to show off my cute outfit.

I thought eggs were supposed to go in the basket!

Chillin' in my yard with my eggs.

No more pictures!

I love my Grammy.

Grandpa and Grandma love me and I love them!

Happy Easter, DD!

Did you do something special for Easter?

A Bluebonnet Adventure

Dear DD,
As a lifelong Texan, I've always looked forward to the day when I would take my children for their first bluebonnet pictures.  I took these last Tuesday out near Natural Bridge Caverns.  Landry was a trooper.  He looks like he's grumpy, but that's just because it was a bright sunny day.  I changed his outfits a few times, and he just relaxed and enjoyed looking around.  Here's what he had to say about his pictures:

"I'm wearing my Baylor Bears Jersey onesie.  Mommy and Daddy both graduated from Baylor University.
Do you like any sports teams?  We love the Bears, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Dallas Cowboys."

"Mama, it's really sunny out here!"

"Am I handsome?"

I'm getting kinda bored!

"Are we nearly through?"

"Guess I'll snack on my hand to pass the time."

"Can we please go home soon?"

"What's going on over there?"

"I'm hungry!"

This outing was the first time he really enjoyed the Bumbo seat (that blue chair).  He held himself up in it so well, and it helped me get some cute pictures.

Everywhere we go, people tell us how beautiful Landry is.  And he really is!  His eyes sparkle, he has the cutest smile and giggle (cousin Jacob made him giggle for the first time - adorable!), and his skin just glows.  He's very laid back (unless he's hungry), and the nursery workers at church love him.  They say he's so easy going and sweet.

Do y'all have bluebonnets in Del Rio this year?  Have you ever taken bluebonnet photos?
